A Family Gathering

This was Vaughns.....First Birthday.
That was a long time ago. We had no kids back then,
but there were still so many kids around.
Scott was the biggest kid of all - He still is, I suppose.
Those were good times back then.
It would be nice if we could all get back together again.
I am sure it will happen again .......Someday.

Black Hills South Dakota

Here are the kids rock climbing. Talia is on the left and Parker is on the right. The both did a fantastic job. You can see the rock is pretty high, about 50 feet above me and just a bit less than vertical. The ropes were there for safety only, they did all the climbing themselves. Great Job Kids.

Emerald Lake Colorado

Here I am swimming in Emerald Lake. The lake is at 11,500 feet and is probably 35 degrees. I figured after a long hike it is only natural to go for a swim - Isn't it?? Rocki took the pictures, I had to adjust them to get the right frame of the lake and mountains.

Black Hills South Dakota

The kids made it to the top of the cliff. The views of the black hills made them want to climb some more - but we had to get to Mount Rushmore before the sun went down.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Here we are at the top of the world. 12,000 feet above sea level. The views from here are truly awe inspiring with miles and miles of alpine tundra, elk in the distance and mountain winds blowing through your hair.

Beaver Meadows

Here are the Kids at Beaver Meadows. Rocki and I were here with Igor more than 10 years ago when the ground was covered by 18" of snow and Ice. Things certainly have changed.

Here is Grandpa Steve's first encounter with Riley and Parker. Imagine what this was like for us at 4:00 am before work every day. Steve's Birthday is coming up on Saturday. He would have been 83. He is missed.

The Hayes Winter Retreat

This is Grandma Jacki and Grandpa Kendalls house in Tuscon. We haven't seen the place yet, but from the looks of this photo, the place is spectacular in the Winter. I always thought that Tuscon was a hot dry desert all year round, but this photo proves otherwise. We are thinking of taking a trip down there one of these days - It will be worth the drive.

Welcome to the World - Sweet Baby Logan

Baby Logan came into the world sometime
Friday afternoon, Feb 17th 2006.
He weighed 7lbs 14oz, 20.5" long. He is happy, healthy, and going strong!!!

Graduation Day

Its fun getting together once in a while.
This was taken on the day of Riley and Parker's graduation from kindergarten. It seams like a strange thing to have a ceremony like that, but it gave us all a chance to get together on nice spring day and take pictures in the front lawn.

NASA!!

This is the only photo I can find of Taylor.
And its from way back in his Astronaut years!!!!
These days all Parker can talk about is his trip to Florida to have lunch with an Astronaut.
For almost a year now he has been talking about becoming an "astro physisist".
He does not want to travel in space or fly a space ship, but he wants to be the engineer who designs the space ships. We think that's pretty cool - he wants to be like us.
